| Post subject: | GE vs EMD?? |
Here is one I cant find the answer to. I have been noticing several EMD units carrying the GE sticker on them. Anyone have a clue. Exaples below, On the C44's it is located on the Engineers side near the stairs On the Soo it is on the short hood. I have seen this on IC, IC&E and Furx units as well. |

So, when the BNSF had a new ES44AC or the UP has an 8-40C in Pig's Eye, are they under lease? I was surprised to learn recently that the Soo SD60 were leased! Why would railroads have diesel shops if the manufacturer staffs the shops? |
