Hi , i have been trying to follow this one and keep missing it.
I found it at Minnesota commercial yard Sunday
then i found the delivery at hiawatha Monday
I talked to a few people there that seemed knowledgeable(including one metro transit member). The new units need 1000 miles on them before they can be accepted for service. This will be done at night in the airport tunnel. ????? Why i do not know. The Siemens units are much more dependable based on salt lake line and Houston line records, The Bombardier units have a very poor repair record. They are also all ready for 1/2 million mile rebuilds and some of the new units will be used for fill in wile this happens.
This first car will sit here till the line closes for the night , then it'll be moved to the car barn and not uncovered till later.
I am doing my best to share accurate information. and will be learning more on these in the weeks to come.
