With the opening of the newest addition to the metros LRT network just 4 months away Metro transit has received 39 of it 59 car order of the Siemens S70 LRV (Light Rail Vehicle). all cars are made at Siemens Sacramento, CA plant and delivered via UP-MNNR. all cars are first checked and tested on the Blue line and most have seen regular service over the past few months. Although the Siemens and first order (27) LRV's from Bombardier are not compatible to run mated together they can run on the same line concurrently. Look ofr a mix of old and new on both the Blue and Green lines.
