New server went on line 12-7-2008 This past summer the BNSF completed Ramsey, a new control point on the Staples Sub located west of CTC Coon Creek. This is part of the Northstar Commuter Rail Project between Big Lake, MN. and Minneapolis, MN., There is still Track Warrant territory either side of Ramsey until the line is fully CTC. We are fortunate to have a new server host in the City of Ramsey, Charlie Esch. Welcome aboard Charlie and many thanks for hosting this server. There are more control points due to be operational in 2009 so we’re looking forward to Charlie’s site providing the necessary coverage for these. The BNSF Staples_KO_Combined Kit has been updated with a new layout and the Ramsey MDB added. Also the Staples audio feed link has been added to the layout. Thanks again to Tom Johnson for contributing the Maxtrac being used at this server. Projects we are working on: UP Spine Line from South St. Paul to Albert Lea, MN. Canadian Pacific Paynesville Sub. If anyone has some interest in either of these projects and can contribute to them, please contact me off line. Any help would be appreciated. Don Schoenberger odnrr@comcast.net |

I just downloaded the "BNSF Staples_KO_Combined Kit" a few minutes ago, and I noticed that CP Ramsey is showing "No Data Recieved." I know that BNSF is using the crossovers, so I'm wondering if its something on the server end that's not working, or did I miss something when I downloaded the file? Any insight from the ATCS guys? |

That was the problem! Thanks Nat!! Also, after seeing the new layout, I noticed that some of the future control points may be in wrong spots. The crossovers at Elk River will actually be located at MP 42.3 (roughly). And the single crossover listed at MP 45 might end up being closer to MP 46 or MP 46.5, from what I've seen. Just a FWIW note... |

Thanks for the info, Aaron. Obviously the spring and summer here are going to produce quite a few layout changes. The speculative stuff Don included in that particular layout where based on the info we had at the time, and plans may have changed since then. Hopefully plans will continue to evolve into the Spring and we'll update everyone once we see changes... |
