why do Red Rock and Dunn display the "in time" figure below them when every they have a clear signal. why would they be in time when a train is approaching. I understand if the train were to stop short but they go right through the signal like normal. |

Braham, Red Rock and Dunn are technically old SOO control points that are dispatched and controlled by BNSF in joint territory. For whatever reason, they have a "bit" that we've decoded as a signal timing, hence the hourglass showing up. It's not really "in time" as much as it is the clock running down on a route set by the DS. If you watch carefully enough, you will see the hourglass pop up without a signal lined occasionally when a CP job is on track 3 there waiting for a passing train on main 2. -Nat |
