Hey guys, I just posted a new monitoring kit for the Twin Cities Terminal featuring a new layout and MCP files for the upgraded stuff recently. It's in the "files" section of the Yahoo Group. Don Schoenberger has also adjusted the Staples Sub layout and is posting a new monitoring kit for that as well. Enjoy. -Nat ps- Don't forget to import the .mdb file! |

Thanks for updates Nat. Just a quick correction for the layout, there are no crossovers at MP 39.3. They're actually a few miles west, at MP 42.3. So, anyone know the purpose of having signals at each station? The ones at Anoka are already in place, and I can't seem to figure out what purpose they serve . |

Heck yea man. the CP now showing up is SWEET! I have discovered I need a bigger monitor now also. time for a wall projector...... one more control point is the only reason for the signals at the stations. kinda like the signal a few miles east of Glenwood on the hill. totaly useless but it allows the dispatcher to stop a train there, before they are on top of Glenwood east. |

New server in Columbia Hts., MN. Our installation of the new server is now complete with the addition of both the BNSF and CP BCP radios. Thanks to Joe Zwirn for donating them. Also we raised the antenna another 7’ today, which has resulted in a significant improvement. For those Canadian Pacific fans, Peter Dahlberg will be uploading a layout for the Paynesville Sub. We’d like to expand coverage to the west on the CP Paynesville Sub. If anyone can host a site or knows of potential host let us know. Don Schoenberger, Nat Malen |

Matt, Loretto area or Buffalo would be a good starting point for the next set of MCPs west. If we can identify a potential host, we'll take the mobile equipment there to "test" the site from ground/driveway level. Don |

On behave of Phil and myself, thank you Matt. Phil’s site is extremely important to our coverage. It is currently delivering 28 stations, all being received at unbelievably low error rates. This is mostly due to the great antenna that Phil purchased. Keep this in mind if any of you are at the MTM Jackson St. Roundhouse, say hi to Phil and thank him. Don |
