| Post subject: | First Revenue Run Into Shoreham |
The TC&W made their first revenue run into Shoreham on 4/3/07. The train arrived at Shoreham a little after 0400 with 7 loads and 3 empties. The RailRunners were NOT used. Instead they just used the flat cars that the containers had arrived on. There is only 2 bogies in Montevideo right now so this might be temporary, or it might not. The crew didn't tie up until sometime after 0730 so they weren't rested until at least 1530 the next day to head west with empties. I saw the loaded train go through St. Louis Park and Cedar Lake Jct. (no photos of course) but wasn't able to see the empty. I was told the train was the arrive at Shoreham about noon, not 4am! |

Well, another train is on its way to Shoreham right now. Again, power is the TCWR 302 (leader-both ways) and TCWR 2008. Originally, management said only one train a week. Well it's not even the 12th week yet and 15 trains have already run. Things must be working out pretty good.
