The CMO or the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha was owned by the C&NW sence 1882 but took complete control in 1956  . Except with the 400 all northbound trains switched engines in Elroy and the reverse happened with southbound trains.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe UP uses the CMO reporting marks on their covered hoppers because they've run out of spots to put them under the UP reporting mark. |
