Post subject: | UP Line Through Hudson, WI |
I just moved to Hudson, and noticed there's a beautiful swing bridge just north of town crossing the St. Croix. I see on maps that it's owned by UP. What kind of traffic does this line see? How many trains pass through each day? Thanks! |

The Trains that I see through Lake Elmo. Mostly mixed trains with A LOT of engines up front. Triple Crown Roadrailer trains with NS power up front. UP coal trains and empties running to and from the power plant in Bayport. And the Minnesota Commercial local to Anderson Windows in Bayport. The Commercial runs early dawn every Tues. through Fri. I know the Westbound Triple Crown trains goes by around Noon. That All I see. It started out as the CSt.P.M.&O., then went to CNW. The original 400 and the Twin Cities 400 trains used this route. Thats a little history. |
