Loosely quoted from Amtrak...

Amtrak will operate Nos. 7 and 8 between Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul only on Dec. 12 and 14. Train No. 8 will operate east of Minneapolis/St. Paul only on Dec. 13, 15, and 17."

It appears #8 is only running from Seattle to Spokane these same days. Rumor is Amtrak is scrapping together a 6th equipment set so that as one set gets later and later, they have one on hand that can at least leave on time...

tonites #7 is the first to terminate at Midway.

Train 7-3 will terminate at Midway tonite, 3-3-2014, I am guessing it will become an 8 in the morning and run back to Chicago.

All this is due to an avalanche in MT.
