Questions: Why is the engineer taking all the heat for 'misreading the signal'? Shouldnt he have called it out and it been repeated by the conductor, or does Amtrak not do that? Also, what was the signal that was up? Whose track was it on? and what does it mean on their track? -->didnt it mean something to the effect of, "proceed with caution, stop within 1/2 distance of sight"??? Thanks for any help crew, I have to give a 'bad PR' speech on this in the morning. |
