Anyone here have layouts based on the Twin Cities area? I'd love to see some photos. |

My modular railroad club, The New Brighton Connection, has many scenes of railroads around the Twin Cities, specificly New Brighton. If you see us at a local train show stop by and say hi. |

My upcoming HO scale freelanced layout is inspired by the Twin Cities but will fall short of being recognizable as the Twin Cities. Perhaps later in life as my skill improves and I have more time I will faithfully attempt to reproduce the Twin Cities. For now I will have a major city named Marionapolis (wife's name is Marion) that is a hybrid of Saint Paul and Minneapolis as the main level. The upper level is inspired by the BNSF line to Dultuh, again all free lanced. The lower level is dedicated to the TCW with again fictional names. Real Minnesota and nerighboring locations will be represesented by staging and off layout storage. I hope to start benchwork construction sometime in 2010. I have some MAJOR remodeling of the attic to do first. |
