Post subject: | plans in the works |
hello, i've been away for awhile but haven't let go of planning a new railroad. joe, any input/help/advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. "I'll gladly assist if you want. I can provide track charts, car types, traffic information etc. Diez, if you want to offer to help you can ride down with me. I'd love to help build the RR I work for. Wish I had the room myself." i'm in the early stages of considering/planning a new railroad. i have a pretty good amount of space to use. my current layout is based on model railroader plans of the clinchfield. i have room to triple current layout size. (4' X 56') my ruff plans are centered around northfield featuring progressive/up. intial plans include the up from st paul (staging) down thru owatonna, albert lea (staging) progressive would include lakeville industrial park, high line, eagan, and enough room to model to cannon falls and of course my home town of faribault. this would be a huge undertaking, half of it would be multideck, so any suggestions or ideas would be great. thanks, brian |

montgomery isn't far at all, maybe we could get together and run some trains. i'm just starting to become interested in the "operation" part of the hobby. i have about 95% of my trackwork/wiring done on my current layout. brian |
