Does anyone know what the plan is for these units? Will we see them in service on the Saint Paul turn as reoccuring power maybe? and how soon will they be placed in regular service on the TCW?

When they are placed into service they will roam the system like any other unit; they'll go where they are needed. It's unclear as to when they will start moving. They were being inspected today (again) and any problems need to be fixed and they also arrived without any radios or head end devices. If I learn anything I'll post but usually it's a last minute thing.

The 2300 is B/O with some electrical problems and the 2301 is in service, but not lead capable.

I'll have to keep a look-out and an ear to the scanner for these. Hopefully, 2300 will be repaired and they'll get radios soon. I was told they'll be on the St. Paul Turn mostly.

I don't think the prime movers were rebuilt, but the high-vis cabs that these units had on KCC were cut down at Mid-America Car and is why they took so long to get here.
