Very interesting on the expansion news - quite the positive turn for them. Hopefully they'll also be able to capture some more work in Cold Spring to keep that end of the line alive. I know they were shooting to get more loads out of the businesses in town. That would mean they would need some new power. And if their lease is ending on the Relco units it would be neat to see them get some power of their own and paint it up nice. They did a good job on that caboose and it sounds like they have added lettering to it as well.

I worked with the NLR on some grade crossing projects last year, very nice bunch of folks to work with! Not sure if I met your uncle when I was working up there CM&W [welcome to the forums]...

Ok, now you guys are going to have to explain why you were being used as target practice!

The line to Cold Spring might be in jepordy. The city wants Cold Spring Granite to move from the downtown location because they want the land. Also there is a bridge between Cold Spring and Rockville that needs some work. The only other business in town is a gas co that only gets cars a few times a month. Before NLR, BNSF had wanted to pull up the line. NLR wants serve them so it will be interesting to see what happens.
