To close out the summer I spent some time railfanning northern Iowa, here are just some of the highlights from this past weekend,
The Iowa Northern sits in Manly after setting out cars for the UP,
The only diesel powered unit on the Iowa Traction Railroad used for power in the winter to push the snowplow,
One of four units that where sitting around town odd they do not keep them in a roundhouse when not in use,
A nice find on the north end of town this Whitcomb 65 Ton sits just west of the ILSX unit used at the Leigh cement plant,
For all the CNW fans check out this caboose,
A cool find in Charles City this old MILW car sits with several old AMTK cars awaiting repair,
And here two old time semaphore's although not in use they are in good shape for their age,
I'll end with some words of wisdom, any time is train time,
