Anyone care to guess what happened? Maybe you know what happened here. Regardless I would say this railcar has seen better days...

Well, something either bumped into it, it bumped into something, or somebody cleaned it with steam and forgot to leave the valves open.

It derailed, and rolled over. Had one in Superior about three years ago that looked exactly the same.

Hopefully it was empty. If I could see the marking a bit better, I could look it up.

If it was going eastbound in this picture, I would bet it was from the little "mishap" at the union the other week. There were only about 6 seriously damaged cars on the union job, the Z train caught the worst of the damage.

As much as I hate the beltpacks, "radio failure" does not nesecarily mean belt pack involvment. Lets blame it on the f#!&#ng remote anyways;  :)

I just love remotes! I sit back and revel in the damage those things do. System wide on the BNsf, they have put out tens of millions of dollars in stuff wrecked by remote. And that is just in the yard! WooHoo!!!![/quote]

You know what I'm sayin! :)

Remotes are like the old "BetaMax". They tried and tried, but just couldn't make it.

Railroads don't want egg on their face for all the money they wasted, so they keep 'em around...for now

It was indeed eastbound in this picture and if I recall correctly it was placed towards the middle of the train.
