Word from the UP Heritage group is that UP 2010, a C45AC-CTE, is showing up in the system, here is a copy from the group.

As of 08:10 on 2-1-10 there was a locomotive added to the UP Computer System with the number 2010, and it is indeed a C45AC-CTE supposedly built in 2009.

UP is designating a Gevo to be done up for the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts which is going be number 2010.

For as much as railfans dislike (hate?) the UP, they sure know how to do up the heritage, special theme or railfan specials!

I will be interested in seeing updates of when this gets rolling.

I think the hate is a local thing. I will gladly take some Armor Yellow to break up the Pumpkin orange anytime.

I too cant wait to see it.

You'll see the "hate" anywhere that UP has taken over a railroad that once ran there...which covers a lot of the country.

Armor yellow just isn't that attractive and BNSF seems to do a better job of keeping their units clean or maybe the orange hides the grime better.
