Hey guys, Ive joined this site in hopes that you kind folk can help me find a few specific freight cars around the area here so I can fill some spots in my boxcar album. Most of my pics are from North Dakota and were taken a long time ago but Im finally starting to get into the railfanning thing down here and would like to find some of the rarer freight cars and such...

Im looking for any info on these brilliant blue colored reefers known as "Cold Trains" from a company called "Rail Logistics".

(not my pics)

Ive taken a few trips over near Newport Cold Storage but its always the same white reefers. I guess there are only about 75 of these blue ones running around and they have been spotted in MN, I just dont know where. I would like to get a shot of a clean one before the graffiti writers completely take them over!

Thanks,
Rick

I've only seen them on the BN. The H PASGAL and H BRCNTW seem to have them more than other trains. Very cool car, but good luck getting a clean one. The writers like them too.

Well, I know there are still some clean ones out there... rrpicturearchives has a few pictures from late last year with some clean ones still...

Forgive my newbie ignorance, but what exactly are H PASGAL and H BRCNTW? How do I go about locating these trains? I'm really just an amateur boxcar photographer that takes pictures of interesting and out of the ordinary boxcars because I used to spend a lot of time as a kid playing around a not-very-active trainyard in ND and always found them interseting!

The H PASGAL is around Northtown in the late afternoon most days. The H BRCNTW arrives in the early evening usually.

I did see a Cold Train on the WC one day, but that was just once. Every other reefer I've seen on the WC has been ARMNs.
