The no hump track at NTW has been looking more like the strage tracks at the Amtrak depot. With the recent shots of the new Business car for the NSR a few weeks ago, today I found two former Copper King Express cars. Good shots from the 44th bridge for those who care to venture out in the gloomy weather,

Also the BNSF 1885 former BNSF yard goat 6805 has returned for servicing this along with three recent renumber BNSF SD40-2's (1593, 1594 & 1986) have all been spotted in the last few days. Also of note the BNSF 7878 & 7879 have been absent from the hump sets so I would assume they are in the shop for servicing and will come out with new numbers aswell.

Happy hunting everyone

Why are they renumbering them? Is BNSF going to order even more Gevos?

Yep. Brand new ES44DC's 7805, 7806, 7807 and 7808 are already out on the rails. I think 7800-7820 are the next order.

Copied from my post on the Yahoo Group TwinCitiesRail:

Hello everybody, while I don't make it to the Twin Cities much at all to
railfan, today was a different story. I had to bring my brother down to
Roseville for an apt. I snooped around the MNNR areas, but come to find nothing.
So then i worked my way west and eventually found the BNSF Northtown Yard. I
parked and set up shop at the St Anthony bridge, and while i was only there for
maybe a half hour or so, i snapped away at what i could see and here is a list:

BNSF 8130 (Stored SD60M's):

BNSF 1594: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21929373@N05/4516885774/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/21929373@N05/4516883846/

BNSF 6220: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21929373@N05/4516884518/

UTAX 12: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21929373@N05/4516247713/ Northstar must
still be having issues with one of their engines if this one is still out. I
caught it up in Elk River on March 29th
(http://www.flickr.com/photos/21929373@N ... 052292699/)

BNSF 4125/4212: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21929373@N05/4516883198/

BNSF 2779/3032: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21929373@N05/4516881562/ I liked
seeing these two together, as i have not seen too many times where 2 blue and
yellow warbonnets are together.

I have a number of other pictures on my site as well
http://www.flickr.com/photos/21929373@N05/ ...Sure had fun catching all that i
did in the short amount of time that I had. I've had fellow railfans tell me
about the area so i decided to check it out, and I'll defiantly be down again,
and perhaps check out University, which i hear is a great spot, and also down by
the shops, where I hear and have seen in pics, power sitting out and close in
for shots. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Not sure if it was a local or a manifest, I was too far away. But for us EMD fans it was a sweet lash-up. An orange 1930 was on point, an H1 82xx and a Santa Fe blue bonnet (unable to get the number) came in on the north runner behind Home Depot. The third was likely a 3000 series GP40X.

It wasn't the BNSF 1930/8248/3181, was it? They came in trailing on a manifest last Friday: http://www.flickr.com/photos/33914581@N02/4539104944/

It was... minus the first two units. Not sure when they lost the first two, but looking at your pictures, it appears the three I was talking about were in the same order.
